Combat Stress is a charity to help veterans. Stress is a result of exposure to trauma. Combat Stress help veterans cope with trauma-related health issues. There is a rise in such conditions as PTSD. It is becoming more common but relies on people to acknowledge they need help. Combat Stress helps raise awareness. It helps treat. We live in a world that has always buried its head in the sand when it comes to emotion. Everyone is aware of the ‘Stiff Upper Lip’ mentality. How many times do we say ‘soldier on’. We live with the belief that expressing emotion is a sign of weakness. We expect strong people to not show emotions. Thank fully this is changing, but for those who feel this is the way to be, reaching out for help can sometimes be the biggest obstacle.
